I injured myself last night. I was trying to open the front window and set up a cross-flow fan system. It was still 80 degrees F in here after 10 PM. This morning I find the extent of my injuries to be worse than I initially thought. So I won’t be available for anyone today or tonight as possibly previously planned.
I was trying to get some help over before I ended up doing it myself (my neighbors weren’t in), and every time I posted something on Facebook to see if someone was around to help me that way, people would keep commenting with annoyingly UNRELATED topics so I was forced to delete my entire posts.
Please don’t do that. I know you all think it’s just random social media, and therefore it doesn’t matter where you put your asinine comments or private conversations. Sometimes it doesn’t. But sometimes I am using the social media to get HELP because I’ve a disability and it’s my lifeline. If unrelated comments dilute my message before I’m even finished giving details, people are less likely to realize I need help. Some people see that there’s a comment and assume an issue is resolved, without ever actually reading the comment (OR my post) to see that it’s not.
After my appointments today (I’ve got 2, then we have to see if my chair is charging at all now/if the electrical system functioning—it hasn’t been, which explains all the recent issues). That’s IF the chair was able to even get a charge last night and is working enough to get me to those things at all.
IF it is working and charging, I will be doing stuff I haven’t been able to complete around the house/building. If you would like to come help me, I’d welcome it (I planned to do this before last night’s injury. In fact, I planned to do it before we discovered my chair hadn’t been charging or conducting power properly for weeks!). Otherwise, don’t expect to hear from me tonight.
